Recently several sites have taken a quote from a Kotaku interview with Square Enix and taken it into their heads that Final Fantasy XIII was going to be released on the PC. However Square earlier today announced that they have no plans of releasing the game on PC. It could happen but at this moment it appears this was merely a some people getting a little too excited.

I knew it was just a stupid misinterpretation on Kotaku's part.

As I said in the last thread, SquareEnix have told us on numerous occasions beforehand that FFXIII is being built on the PC, so goodness knows why this has come as such a revelation to people.

They have no plans of releasing it on PC?!

Isn't that what they said about Final Fantasy XIII and the Xbox 360.

If they did they would have announced it also at MS keynote.

Yeah no plans means they have no plans at the moment. They aren't saying it will not happen. Though up to now, it's likely not to happen.

The only PC FFs was FF7, FF8, and 11. And I believe Square just handed the 7 and 8 to Eidos to bring it to PC.
