PS3 Firmware 2.42 Now Available

Many thought this update would include Life with Playstation but sadly that is not the case. So what does this update do? Nothing really apart from improving playback quality of Playstation 3 games.

Just wanted to give everyone a quick heads up that a PS3 firmware update (v2.42) is now available for download. This update improves the playback quality of some PLAYSTATION 3 and PlayStation format software.

    Aw mnmfan, you beat me to this . . . by about 8 hours

    Though I was hoping for Life With Playstation on this one, we shall see when that comes out. Until then, I welcome any FW update that doesn't cause trouble!

    *sighs* People need to realize that X.XX updates are NOT feature updates, just minor bug/security/stability/compatibility fixes >_>

    Mind you, I was a bit surprised to see this update....
