60GB 360 has no street date

If you've been waiting for a street date for the arrival of the US$ 349 Xbox 360 with a 60 GB hard drive, you may want to check your local stores, as there apparently is no street date for the new model.

Major Nelson has confirmed with us that Microsoft never set a specific street date for the new 60GB HDD 360 models, telling us that "they'll just appear in the retail channels." So, whenever retailers unload 'em off the trucks, Microsoft is fine with them going directly to store shelves.
