XboxLive Demographic: Mostly Americans

Is anyone honestly surprised? All you get when you login to live is some damn 12 year old yankee who will start going on and on about your mother, and how amazing his skills are. Then he will team kill you for picking up the Sniper Rifle before him. Personally, I prefer with playing with Europeans.

Ever notice something about Xbox LIVE? The people that are on it, they're mostly Americans. That's not necessarily a bad thing, is it? Of course not. So there's no need to get all bent out of shape when Europe Xbox exec Chris Lewis "the lion's share" of Xbox Live users are Americans. What's percentage of Xbox LIVE users are European? Says Lewis:

We don't normally break out the European element of our Live membership. I mean, I know what it is, but I don't want to get rapped on the knuckles by being too explicit with you. I will say to you as a percentage of that overall total, it's just less than a quarter. And I'll tell you also that a large part of that is in the UK, partly because of the language aspect, the fact is you need, on a community service like Live, enough people of a similar language orientation to get a community so that it starts to really blow out... Up until fairly recently we just haven't had enough on the service for non-English-speaking folks.

    that's not true. i met about 490 British, i know that's not enough but i also met some people from other countries, one time, there were like 4 chinese people talking on the mic to each other.

    My roommate and I were in a Halo 3 room with a bunch of French people. Eventually we had had it, and so did another 2 or 3 players, various forms of hilarity ensued.

      My brother (Hispanic) plays a lot on Live where he likes to talk a lot with his friends and there's barely a game where I don't hear "SPIC!" or "Stupid Mexicans" or even "How'd you jump the border?"...colorful conversations if I do say so myself.

    I had a British guy rag on me, apparently I was being "whiny and annoying" because I'm an American, when I didn't even do anything.

      Why am I not surprised? For some reason they think they are better than everybody else.

      British kids are just as (if not more) annoying, there are just so many children from the US on that you don't notice them.
