In a response to Microsoft's boasts regarding their heavy investment in securing previously exclusive titles, Sony chief Kaz Hirai has claimed that the real exclusivity battle is about first-party games - and that Sony is winning this battle by a landslide.
Responding to the issue of Microsoft's investment in Xbox 360 'exclusive' content, Hirai said: "On the exclusivity front, whether its downloadable or not, one of the unrivalled strengths we have, and weve proven this time and time again, is the power of our internal worldwide studios. Our first-party product is obviously platform exclusive and is the best out there.
"Weve talked about a raft of great titles, whether thats Little Big Planet, Resistance 2, SoCom, God Of War 3, Killzone 2, MaG and Motorstorm: Pacific Rift."

Anyone wanna guess at what Microsoft might retaliate with?
I wonder what Kojima thinks of this story. You know what you can if it's touched a nerve, don't you Hideo?
I guess that's EA's way of thinking.
Hopefully Guerilla knows what they're doing. Last thing we need is one of PS3's biggest exclusives flopping.
But only big Microsoft "First Party" titles I can think of at the moment are Halo(the FPSs) and Fable.
But most of Microsoft's exclusives are second party(built by third party studio/trademarks owned by MS).(Gears of War is by Epic Games, much of Bioware's games are by Bioware-EA, Project Gotham Racing is by Bizarre, etc.)
Personally, I can't see anything coming from Microsoft Studios which will compete with God Of War III in the action genre. Three God Of War games have already been released, and every one has been amongst the best games of their generation.
God of War is the only series of all PS3 First Party titles that has proven spectacular. Also SOCOM. I know it's just me but I love the SOCOM series for some reason.
I still need to play GoW1 and 2 to see if I care about GoW3, then I'll definately be sure if I'm getting one or not.
