Say what you like, but it seems as if EA is really working hard to regain lost trust on the part of PlayStation 3 owners.

This year's special 20th anniversary event for their esteemed Madden franchise was exclusive to the PlayStation brand, and now, we can expect to see an exclusive game mode for FIFA 09 unveiled at Leipzig this month. According to an update at the official FIFA soccer blog, EA will give fans of the world's favorite sport a very big reason to purchase the PS3 version over the 360 version. We're not sure what this mode is - they've been very hush-hush about it - but we'll know within the next few weeks when we keep a close eye on the Leipzig Games Convention. The game is shaping up to be quite the sports contender this year; after taking the time to do the research for our preview, we concluded that FIFA 09 could be the soccer sim everyone has been waiting for. And what with EA trying to convince the gaming world they've got their heads around to the PS3 architecture now, perhaps it's safe to hope...
