New Parasite Eve game (sort of) and FF Agito confirmed for PSP

chautemoc | August 03, 2008 | News | Playstation Portable Mobile
Gamers that've been looking to get their console Parasite Eve on for awhile now (ten years if you exclude the sequel, as some loyalists would), are in luck..kinda. The 3rd Birthday was announced for mobile phones some time ago, a spin-off from the PE series which features, to some extent anyway, series heroine Aya Brea. The great news here is at Squenix’s DKΣ3713 party in Tokyo the other day, it was announced the title is now coming to PSP as well.

Furthermore, Final Fantasy Agito XIII has been moved from mobile to the PSP.
According to Square Enix, The 3rd Birthday is not a sequel, which is why Parasite Eve has been excluded from the title. However, since Parasite Eve lead character Aya Brea is making an appearance, fans refer to the game as "Parasite Eve 3."

No other details have been released, but we'll continue to update this article as more is leaked from the DKΣ3713 event.

UPDATE:

The 3rd Birthday is set to release sometime in 2009.

Good move, putting Agito on PSP. Would anyone seriously play an RPG on their Cell Phone?

Sure they would, but it's mostly a Japan thing.

No-one had submitted a profile for PE3, so I just did.

PE seems interesting. But I am not too interested in another FF game.
