You never learn do you Namco?

Silver Mirror | August 06, 2008 | News | Playstation 3 XBOX 360 Company
Soul Calibur 4 is being acclaimed a critical success at the moment, its reviews giving it 9's and 10's all over the globe. But Namco are about to make the same mistake they made with Ace Combat 6 and Beautiful Katamari, quite frankly, crappy Downloadable content.

Just around a week from its release and already 3 items are up in the marketplace and PSN Store, some lousy extra gear and some downloadable music from the original game. Not only does such a quick release indicate these could have easily been included in the game, but they are all at huge prices considering their content. A set of new tracks for $15? Or a dollar each if you want to buy them individually? And this is almost certainly just the start, you had to go ruin a perfectly good game didn't you Namco?
Customization equipment #1 (armours, headgears) - 100 Microsoft Points (1.45$)
Downloadable Music complete set - 1200 Microsoft Points (15$)
Downloadable music tracks (1 - 17) - 80 Microsoft Points each (.99$)

Yes...downloadable tracks from the original Soul Calibur to listen while you fight. Hey Namco, I have a request for you: why don’t you spend some time fixing the multiplayer lagging instead of selling bandanas and capes?

Hate it when they do that.

It's a bit early to release DLC for a start. most people don't own the game yet and it does definately suggest that they have been lazy, really pricy too!

Well said, its the same for most dlc on the games. just extra content for the game its not really a NEED.
Its OPTIONAL and hardly takes away from the main game itself. People need to stop overreacting over small stuff.

I wouldn't say the game deserves critical acclamations to begin with. It's good, but compared to the others I feel like they made this one much more accessible to beginners. I don't remember getting cheesed like I do now.

If it is so overpriced, don't pay for it?

Also, $1 a track is standard everywhere now.
