"If you were colorblind, you'd have some trouble seeing certain aspects of the Xbox 360 interface..."
Yeah. Good luck to that 10% of the human population!
Sorry, just seemed like a very lousy reason to stop reading, just because they were mentioning that for accessibility's sake. Sheesh . . .
Besides, it's a stupid argument regardless of which platform it's aimed at. If a colorblind person (which isn't what a lot of people think it is) has trouble with the X360's marketplace blade, then he/she's going to have trouble with health meters, ammo counters, seeing people in camouflage, driving lines, etc..
Not to mention the fact that the X360's marketplace blade is clearly market as "MARKETPLACE."
Whats funny is after reading that whole article not once had they say anything about the price of the networks. Thats where most people get the systems for.
Most people don't want to spend money and doesn't need all the features XBL has so they pick the PS3 version instead.
Many hardcore gamers who expressed how online is a MAJOR factor for gaming, I'll use DMD as an example expresses why he feels XBL is better due to the online quality and extra features you get for $50 a year.
"YOU GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR". It seems Cliche that we have to keep referring back to that statement but its true. You get what you paid for.
Yes we know both offer good things and is great services, but overall just states the obvious, its like beating a dead horse already.
360 vs PS3 ARTICLE, FUKK YEAH, I LOVE THESE.
I've been a gamer since SNES, and I'm still having trouble making that transition to "online" tbh. I have a PS3 and I have yet to even register it on the network (Relax, I just got it a week ago)
I will do so, but I don't know if I will be taking to the Net to do more than obtain some DLC, which is something I like because it enhances the overall game offline.
When it comes to online, I want simple, free and fun. One day, I'm sure the PSN will convert to a pay service and add more, but until then, it's just a matter of what you prefer - fully fleshed out online service for a fee or just a network to play. You're going to get different opinions one way or the other, it's simply about preference.
