Guess what I'm getting for Christmas.
Me neither~
Revenger of Wastelan - 0
GG.
360 is looking more and more like the super-successful PS2 every day.
Don't get me wrong though ultimately quantity will win out. Because for every 10 games you have you might have 1 really excellent game and 4 decent games. Leaving about half to the bargain bin. Unless you're Nintendo of course then you have 1 really good game and 9 boxes that the developers took a dump in and told you was gold.
Though Sony definitely needs to do some 3rd party courting.
Right now the only 1st party game I think could probably do that is God of War III.
What Sony needs however is a 1 party blockbuster franchise, new one at that. There old games from the PS2 isn't going to help the PS3, its new franchises and series which will lead the way im afraid.
A huge LOL at the Nintendo exclusives, it seems quality escapes the Wii games.
From that list, I'm looking forward to
Although, I have to hand it to the 360 for having all those RPG exclusives. I'm glad they're porting over Eternal Sonata.
2009 has Killzone II, God Of War III, Uncharted II (probably), GT5, inFamous, Heavy Rain and more.
It has so far had the better exclusives. Though Gears 2 will change that a little bit. In the end though the PS3 has more big games for this year and next year than either the 360 or the Wii. At least more that we know about.
All the PS3 has to do is get another big name game back under its belt to regain the momentum it lost after E3. And everything will be kosher. The PS3 has the potential to catch up with the 360. And had it not lost FF13 it probably would have done so by the end of this year. Now we just have to wait and see how Sony comes back from this. They can either just ignore it. Or they can hit back with a huge 1st party exclusive that will excite people again.
