Metal Gear Solid 4 has shipped almost four million units!

According to a recent report of Metal Gear Solid 4 sales from Konami, they have shipped 3.94 million copies of the game, almost hitting four million!

This means roughly one PS3 owner out of five has bought the game! MGS4 has started to slow down considerably in Japan; do you think it'll be able to sell five millions units by the end of 2008? PSU does.

Metal Gear Solid 4 has shipped 3.94 million units worldwide, according to a recent sales report from Konami.

We don't know the exact number of copies sold, but about one out of every four or five PS3 owners has purchased Metal Gear Solid 4. Simply put, there's a lot of tactical espionage action going on.

With sales that have started to become slightly sluggish in Japan, will the game reach the lucrative five million sold mark before the end of the year?

    It should be that each ps3 should have 2 copies per ps3 you have.

    So 2 ps3's at your house, You should have 4 copies of mgs4.

    MGS4 sold around 1M in total within the first few days globally, so I'm not surprised.

    I'm sure it would have sold a million in its first week if it had been more hyped.
    and whats with advertising? i didnt see ANY commercials for Smash Bros Brawl or MGS4 until after they came out...actually, the first commercial i ever recall seeing for MGS4 was late july.
    i asked my friends at school who have PS3s and like the MGS series, they said "when does MGS4 come out? i haven't heard anything about it"
    but bravo konami, great game, beautiful graphics. i give your game a 9/10....its not 10/10 because i got sick at the last, 1hour + movie at the end....i had no symtoms of sickness until i got through half of MGS4, turned out i had broncchidus >.<
    sony/konami sent me a human virus through mass production!
