To keep the hype train rolling on the latest retro-revival Mega Man 9, publisher Capcom and developer Inti Creates have announced that they will be releasing the Original Soundtrack for Mega Man 9 on September 12, 2008 in Japan, retailing for 2500 yen. An Arrange Soundtrack is also in the works, releasing on October 30, 2008 for 3000 yen.

35 BGM and SE tracks are planned for Mega Man 9. The booklet will also feature comments from producer Hironobu Takeshita.

I know I'm ready for some revitalized 8-bit tunes.

I'm so getting this. 8-bit music has a certain charm to it. Or maybe its just nostalgia. Either way, I'm digging Mega Man 9.
