Driver 5 confirmed for PS3

It's official: Driver 5 is in the works and heading to Playstation 3. Now an Ubisoft property, Driver 5 has secretly been in development for two years, ever since Reflections and the Driver franchise were snapped up by the French publisher.

Although originally set to be a PlayStation 3 exclusive, the footage showed several Xbox 360 controllers dispersed around the studio, suggesting that the game was in development for the Xbox 360 as well. Ubisoft has not commented on these rumours.

    Cool.Driver was the best, I wasn't very fond of 2, 3 sucked but I like 4.

    Looking forward to Driver with next gen graphics.

        FFXIII doesn't bother me anymore, I'm just saying that unless Sony turns Ubi into a 1st party title, this probably won't stay exclusive. Look what happened to Assassin's Creed.

        Driv3r was on the Xbox so why wouldn't Driver 5 be on the 360?

        Lol @ you saying "Well nvm it will suck" as soon as you find out it probably won't be exclusive. I'm sure if it was exclusive you'd be nutting over it.

          What do you mean what you do? What are we all doing other than commenting on gamegrep? Unless of course you work for Ubi and are talking about what you guys do with your games. Then yes I would worry because I might want to play Driver 5.

          Not really. I couldn't care less if it will be on the 360. I played the old Driver 1 and 2 on the PS1 and found it mediocre at best. Why would I care about it not being an exclusive when I probably wouldn't even pick it up in the first place? And FYI, Ubi DOES suck.-_-

    Mixed feelings, considering the fact that Driv3r and Driver 4 really butchered the series with a virtual machete.

    What they need to do is try and not copy GTA4, which is what Driver 4 SHOULD have been, but place it in a different location and really emphasize the driving, which is what makes this series unique.

      I disagree, I loved Div3r it was one of the best games on the PS2 I enjoyed chasing the cops and shit. I usually only play games like this if its just going to be fun shit, and not the story.

      Can't comment on 4 since I never played it, but im sure it wasn't as bad you and most are making it out to be.
      Driver doesn't need to copy anything, just make the game fun and have its own story with some added things from past Divers and make them better and the game will sell. In fact you could say GTA4 completely went the opposite way and lost the fun of past GTA's.

        Driver 1 was the best because back then, it wasn't being influenced by GTA.

    Totally agree Bri, just reading the back of Parrel Lines was like reading the back of a GTA game. Driver 1 and 2 were the best. A return to form please
