"My biggest disappointment has been the Wii. Rather than creating a revolution in how we play games it has become the cozy home of rampant recidivist bullcrap. Wii Sports version of tennis may have opened up gaming to the mainstream but when it is less interactive than Pong you really have to question its value. The Wii hasnt brought about any revolution. Its just replaced button presses with random flailing and devolved games into nothing more than a novelty"
quoted for the freakin truth.
Wii isn't all about random flailing, mostly, only the SHOVELWARE is random flailing. at least it gets you moving, rather than the no-life people i play with on Call of Duty 4 and Halo 3 who have been level 10 prestige lvl 55 a month after the game came out, i JUST got to 10th prestige, 6/7 months after i got the game.
I own PS3 and Wii, getting a 360 once i get my funds allow it (only $200 away now)
PS3 and 360 are a big dissapointment for me, the only real games i like are 3RD PARTY for those systems, Uncharted was good....uhh...what 1st party games are for xbox?
I applaud Nintendo for releasing their Biggest franchises within a YEAR and 1/2 of release.
Just because you are too lazy to move your arms for a FREE GAME THAT CAME WITH THE WII IN EU and NA.
And games like Metroid Prime 3 and Zelda TP use the motion control flawlessly, its perfect for those titles, there are MANY games with options to use other means of controls, like BRAWL, Mario kart, etc.., Resident Evil 4 and Umbrella Chronicles are amazingly made for Wii, i hated using the analogue sticks on my PS2 and Gamecube versions, but the Wii made it so much easier to shoot the shit out of zombies.
facepalm
Wii: Too many to count.
I know I bring that topic up a lot but, whatever
Epic fail.
so go cry me a river and drown yourself in it.
Oh and HawkMan your a douche.
PSN and XBLA have awesome kickass downloadbale titles. Pixel Junk Eden(an innovative title on the psn) is one example. You don't even get online downloadable games on the wii.
Better to be a douche with great games (both present and future), then a dumbass stuck with a glorified paperweight.
"I don't have a damn party every day. Release some proper games already!"
Congratulations, you have a preference for certain kind of games! That doesn't mean that others share that preference, and may enjoy a game like Battalion Wars over CoD4, especially considering they are completely different types of games. Just because you enjoy certain games on certain consoles does not mean other games on other systems aren't just as fun for fans of those games.
Also, you could at least do some research before flaming another member and his console preference. Wii has the unarguably single greatest retro downloadable service in the Virtual Console, filled with the best, read, best, games from the 8, 16 and 64 bit generations. I guess you also missed the Wiiware downloadable games that have been available for months now, featuring plenty of excellent titles now and to come. Titles like FFCCMLaaK, LostWinds, SBCGfAP, and Dr. Mario Online, followed by titles like Megaman 9 with the Wiimote as a true NES style controller, Animales De la Muerte, and plenty of others. Wii has plenty of downloadable games, just a lack of space to hold them all.
Also to Red 9, perhaps you should look again. Yes, Wii does have plenty of party games. But there are tons of great games to play by yourself or online. I have 13 games in my Wii collection in a little over a year. Only two of them could really be classified as "party games", namely Smash Bros. Brawl, and Wii Sports. Wii Sports is a free tech demo that came with the system, and Brawl is one of the most anticipated follow ups to one of the most popular titles of last generation, as well as a fighting game which is designed for multiplayer. The rest of my games consist of single player affairs, including all of Nintendo's AAA series. It's fine if these aren't game series you enjoy, you don't have to play them. But you should at least acknowledge there existence, and that they have plenty of fans, many who enjoy any one of these titles much more than any title currently on the other consoles.
Aside from that, I own a Wii and a 360, and I don't play my 360 any more than the Wii. Hell, I play it half as much as the Wii right now. Just because you prefer Call of Duty 4 over battalion Wars doesn't mean everyone does. Really, congrats on having an opinion, but I hate to say not EVERYONE agrees with you. And those who don't, shouldn't be flamed because your not mature enough to put it aside. I could list about 10-15 must buys on the Wii right now, as well as 5 upcoming ones. I can barely find 5 games on the 360 that I enjoyed for more than a month, simply because the console does not suit my playing style nor am I a shooter fan. Don't try to argue that the Wii has no good games and your precious XBL (as great as the 360 is) "pwns" everything. It's preference that decides what console you like, because no console is simply "better" than another or "best out there". It's a matter of opinion.
Geez, fanboys these days...
also, what is all this stuff where people think you can only have 1 console? what a load of crap! You don't need to hate on the wii just to justify your choice of console. The wii being good doesn't mean the 360 is a bad one. There can be more than one good console out there. Which is lucky, cause there are three.

Surprisingly, the game has a very Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess feel to it.
