The DS remake of Final Fantasy IV (originally Final Fantasy II in the Western world) has been confirmed by Square Enix to ship to Europe September 5.

Unlike past Final Fantasy remakes, this one has been completely overhauled, transitioning into 3D, boasting a faithful translation, voiced cut scenes, and more.

“Final Fantasy IV is one of the most significant titles in the history of the Final Fantasy franchise,” Square Enix president and chief executive officer John Yamamoto stated.

Should seriously just do simultaneous releases from now on. That way we're all satisfied. Why exactly does it take this long to set the games up for Europe and such?

Money I guess. They take care of NA first usually because I suppose there's more cash to be made here. In theory they could hire more people to get it out everywhere simultaneously, but that'd cost 'em (I'm assuming). Also I suppose there's an advantage in choosing this..more hype.

Hmm, you have a point there. They are taunting us with a FFVII remake, after all.
