We first found out that Fallout 3 was going to banned in Australia. Later, we found out that The Office Of Film And Literature Classification was working to make a friendlier version of the game. We now know the rating:

Fallout 3 has passed the classification process, receiving a MA15+ for "Strong violence, drug references and coarse language". To view the rating on the official classification website, click here.

If you've been following the Fallout 3 saga over the last few months, today's news should make you smile - if only slightly. As of August 7, the Office of Film and Literature classification (OFLC) officially announced Fallout 3 has passed through the classification process.

According to the site, Fallout 3 will be rated MA15+ for "Strong violence, drug references and coarse language". No big surprises there.

Now I know why people hate you in the 360 forum. Your really immature

Besides renaming morphine to something else is stupid, but I won't lose any sleep over it.

        lolololololololololol.

        Your such a *bleep*wit.

Anyway it's nice that Fallout 3 is coming out here now, but something has really gotta happen soon about this complete lack of a +18 rating and thus insta-ban of games that don't fit under any other rating. It's utterly stupid on so many levels. I just hope they haven't watered it down too bad.

If were a nub then what are you? We've both been here longer than you, have more posts, and you've already been banned more than me.

It seems there are still drugs in it (hence the rating) which was the whole reason it was refused classification. So what's been changed?

      Gutter_Tech Aug 12, 08
well what i read was that they changed the drugs from actual drugs like morphine to something not real like jet making it more user friendly i guess. well anyways grats to our aussie comrades

You will find out closer to release kinda like GTA IV, everything was peachy until AUS gamers were told their version was not the same as everyone elses.

I don't live in Australia, but what the *bleep* is up with the censorship? Do your politicians have something stuck up their asses?

At least it's not banned anymore. Even if it's got a high rating, it'll be available.

If I was Australian, I'd rather no game than a censored game. Screw that. And I expect this will just drive people to piracy..stupid OFLC.

I bet water polo video games are huge in Australia..
