PlayTV Release Date And Price Announced

Sony has just confirmed the release date and price for PlayTV. It will be coming out on September 19th for the price of £69.99. PlayTV is digital video recorder for PS3 that can record TV while you play games or watch other programs. You then can watch your favorite TV programs on your PS3 or on your PSP later. Currently it will only be released in Europe.

Sony have informed Eurogamer.net of the release information for Play TV - the addon for your PS3 which will allow it to be used as a fully fledged Freeview PVR. You will also be able to enjoy TV content from your PS3 via remote play on your PSP. The kit will be available to buy from the shelves on September 19th for a quite reasonable price of £69.99.     I posted something like this a few weeks back, but meh.

    Price is about a tenner more expensive than I anticipated, but it's still a decent price for what it does.

    Damn it, thats a bit too much for what I wanted. I have Sky+ As well, but thats in the living room, and is usually full of soaps my parents have recorded and leave no space for me, so I'd prefer to be able to download straight to my PS3 harddrive... ah may wait for it to drop in price I guess...

    I might get this though I am not sure, very undecided as I don't like having my electronics on when I am not using them :/
