PunkBuster is official Anti-Cheat software for CoD: World at War

Tyranitar24 | August 19, 2008 | News | PC Playstation 2
Activision has recently settled upon a contract with PureBalance, the creators of the anti-cheat software called PunkBuster. The software will be tied into CoD: World at War and will make sure no hacking or glitching occurs when the game is released and onward.

PunkBuster has also planted its roots in the Battlefield series, Crysis, and F.E.A.R.
No surprise here, but PureBalance, the creators of the popular anti-cheat software PunkBuster have been contracted to provide anti-cheat counter measures for Call of Duty: World at War by Activision.

Although most of us are against multiplayer cheating, clients like PunkBuster usually add new and very annoying compatibility issues for the end user.

No hacking or glitching? I'm sure this will help, which is great. However, where there is a will, there is a way. Hackers/glitchers will always find a way.

No, Most hackers out there just download a mod to let them do it, This will stop them. and glitching, is of course easy to fix anyway.
