The game XG Blast! has just been announced for Europe and PAL regions today, but not North America. The title is a shooter which sees you fly a jet in space and fight aliens.

The game will release sometime this November.

Let's face it, the likelihood that any of us will jet into space to take on alien beings in anti-gravity dogfights is pretty slim, but just in case the opportunity does arise, we'll want to be prepared - which is where XG Blast! for the Nintendo DS comes in, confirmed for Europe and other PAL regions today.

Created in the style of top-down shooters of old, XG Blast! is all about destroying hordes and hordes of aliens, before they do the same to you.

Storyline

"Undergoing a secret experimental journey, the spaceship Aknathen detects an energy spectrum identical to the one emitted by its prototype weapon, the XG Blast. Travelling to investigate, Aknathen is sucked through a wormhole and into a dimension filled with aggressive alien life-forms determined to take the weapon for themselves. Fight your way through hordes of enemies to uncover the origin of the mysterious signal and find your way back home."

XG Blast! is scheduled for release in November.
