Best-Selling PC Games for Week of August 3

From last week World of Warcraft: Battle Chest has moved up 2 to get the top spot, and the Sims 2 Double Deluxe moved down to second place. Blizzard (maker of World of Warcraft) made the games of half of the list.

Here are the top ten selling PC games of the week of August third.

1. World of Warcraft: Battle Chest
2. The Sims 2 Double Deluxe
3. World of Warcraft
4. Nancy Drew: The Phantom of Venice
5. Spore Creature Creator
6. Diablo Battle Chest
7. Warcraft III Battle Chest
8. World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Expansion Pack
9. The Sims 2: IKEA Home Stuff Expansion
10. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Blizzard's World of Warcraft: Battle Chest has moved up two spots from last week to grab the NPD's top spot for the week of August 3. Previous first place holder, The Sims 2 Double Deluxe, moved down a notch to hang on to second place. Adventure game, Nancy Drew: The Phantom of Venice, which held the top spot a month ago, is now in fourth. Blizzard continues to dominate the NPD's top ten with half of the games on the list, while Maxis follows closely behind with three games.

    After SC2 is released, Blizzard will probably have all 3 of their big franchises in the top 10.

    It is quite sad to see how many people are seriously throwing their lives away, i mean if World of Warcraft is always in the top 10 then that is so many people wasting their lives on one of the most addictive online games on the planet...

    Not necessarily. Time spent in one game can be the same amount of time spent playing many games.
