EA Adds Tennis to its Sports Repertoire

EA has unveiled another arena that they intend to play in. EA Sports Tennis was revealed today for the Wii, PS3, and the Xbox 360. It will be releasing for the Wii first in 2009, with the two HD versions to follow. One of the features is that this will be the only IP where you can play at the storied Wimbledon tournament.
When Peter Moore promised to change the face of EA Sports, so far he has kept his promise. Now another franchise is being announced and we are sure that Mr. Moore has had his hand in it. EA has announced they are adding a Tennis Franchise.

The EA Sports Tennis is being developed by EA Canada, will first be available on the Wii in 2009, and followed by other platforms, which according to the franchise website will be the PS 3 and Xbox 360 as of this writing.

EA Sports will bring tennis to life and allow players to experience the pressure and excitement of competing in the greatest theaters in the game, and it will be the only videogame to feature the All England Lawn Tennis Club – home of The Championships, Wimbledon. The all-new EA Sports tennis franchise will offer innovative ways to play, both as or against the greatest players from the past or present, letting you control the ball and work the court like you never have before in a tennis videogame.
