At Xbox Canada's X08 Media Event in Toronto an Activision representative confirmed that Call of Duty: World at War will be released some time in November.

So far Call of Duty: World at War has been conspicuously elusive to any other release date than the broad time frame of autumn 2008. Though, at the X’08 event in Toronto (Xbox Canada’s holiday showcase) an Activision representative confirmed to us that Treyarch's latest endeavour with the Call of Duty franchise will be hitting sometime this November, no specific day was given.

Anyone with some degree of common sense could have figured this out. The last three Call of Duty games have been released in November.

An exact day would have been nice.

There were actually quite a few rumours recently about it being pushed into 2009.

Even without a set release date in November; this is good to know. So many top tier titles being released this November, it'll be tough to choose which to buy right off the bat.

Man, it's always been this way. Last year, we (360 owners) got Bioshock, followed by Halo 3, The Orange Box, Mass Effect, and finally Call of Duty 4. This year, we got Gears of War 2, Fable 2, Fallout 3, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, this game, and I think Too Human. And that's just the beginning of it. I love it and hate it at the same time, because even though it's a large selection of kick butt games, I don't have the money to get them all, or at least not within a month of each other.

This game looks to much like Cod4 in my opinion, set in a WWII setting. I'll be to busy to playing Socom and Resistance 2 to pick this up. I am liking the flamethrower though

Putting it in the same month as Gears 2 is a big mistake. I know what game I'll be getting.

Wouldn't they make more money if they released new games at different times?
