Livewire_19 | August 22, 2008 | News | PC Wii Misc Gaming Tech/Hardware
If you're the type who loves browsing through your hometown with Google Maps' street view, then you'll definitely get a kick out of this interesting new mod which incorporates a Wii Balance Board peripheral.
That's exactly what Ryo Katsuma, a Tokyo web developer, has done by hooking up his Wii Fit Balance Board with the Google Maps interface to provide a virtual walkthrough of any mapped neighbourhood.

I couldn't find the video. It sounds interesting though, I've always considered google maps and google earth a necessity when getting a new computer. (Don't tell 'em but i install it on my mates computer whilst they're on the toilet or something.)

        Thanks for the fix.
And gamegrep wouldn't accept the sources before I added them to alternate.

Heh, that was kind of cool. Not that I'm going to use the Wii Board for something like that, but still kind of cool.

Interesting use for the balance board, though not exactly practice in my opinion.

So like going for a virtual walk? Why not go for a real walk?
