Race Driver is coming to the Nintendo DS.
Codemasters has revealed that a DS version of its motorsport sim Race Driver is speeding toward the handheld this summer, complete with online races and a thorough track designer.
Called Race Driver: Create & Race, this portable edition has been built from the ground-up especially for DS. That means the game's track editor makes full use of the touch screen. Using the stylus, you can place track elements like hairpin bends, straights and chicanes, then race around the course.
In addition to the track editor, the game features 32 real-world circuits - like Silverstone and Bathurst - and 25 officially-licensed race cars, including the Koenig GT, the AMG Mercedes C Klasse DTM and the Chevrolet Silverado Truck.
Create & Race also joins the increasing number of online racing games available on DS - along with Mario Kart and Diddy Kong Racing. Up to four players can go head-to-head on official tracks, or even user-created courses. For those without online access, up to four players can go head-to-head using just one copy of the game.
To keep up to date with Race Driver, just head over to the game's official website.
