The game Theresia has just gotten a release date for North America, October 21st 2008. The game is a first person adventure game that makes use of the touch screen, along with games Hotel Dusk and Dementium: The Ward. The game has you trying to get out of a maze by doing missions, like solving puzzles and combining items.
With titles such as Hotel Dusk and Dementium: The Ward, the Nintendo DS is making itself home to a number of surreal first-person adventures, combined with touch screen interaction to help make the experience all that more immersive. The latest to be given a North American release date is Theresia, an experience that looks like meaning that a few new sets of clean underwear at hand may be necessary.
Features:
* Escape the Maze Alive!
Hone your survival skills by carefully exploring the corridors of your captors while uncovering clues that bring you closer to a shocking revelation.
* Items for the Win!
Collect countless items and combine them in order to survive and uncover the depths of the maze.
* Two Stories of Twisted Love and Despair!
What is the true meaning behind Theresia? Follow the two tales of Emile and Martel:
o Dear Emile…
A tale of twisted love between a mother and her daughter. Raised from the ashes of war and torture, Leanne has no memory of her past. Will she find the true meaning of her existence through her past, or will she be consumed by her destined future?
o Dear Martel…
The protagonist, a brilliant doctor and owner of the local orphanage, develops a vaccine to combat the high fever that has affected the children in his orphanage. Unfortunately, as with every great creation, his discovery comes only at great cost. Will he be able to atone for his mistake, or will his creation end mankind?
Theresia sees you trying to escape a maze by solving puzzles and combining items, point-and-click style, and it promises to be a rather dark, frightening and claustrophobic experience. Lovely stuff.
It’ll arrive stateside on October 21.
