Animal Crossing: City Folk was announced for the Wii by Nintendo at E3 2008, and now there is a bunch of new information for it. When you are in the city using Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, your character will be joined by other animals going about their daily business. There will be a friend codes system if you want to meet up with friends and chat there, and also, if you go to the Auction House over Wi-Fi, then you'll be able to bid on items that other players own.
You'll be able to take pictures of the area around you, and you can send it to other friends probably using the Wii Message Board. For Downloadable Content, you'll be able to download new furniture and new types of wallpaper for free.
The WiiSpeak accessory will
not come with Animal Crossing: City Folk, but you have to buy it for $29.99 separately. The game releases on the 16
th of November 2008.
Animal Crossing: City Folk might have been amongst a number of titles that ‘core’ players were less than satisfied with when it was unveiled during Nintendo’s press conference at E3 2008, but little would argue that it probably will sell by the bucket load. Nintendo Power magazine has had the latest sneaky preview of the life simulator, and has come back with a feast of new information.
The publication reports that while you wander the game’s main city via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, your character will not be alone there; joined by others who are going about their daily business too. A friends codes system, however, will be used if you want to meet and chat there. And if you decide to visit the auction house, you’ll be able to bid on items owned by other players.
