LittleBigPlanet Confirmed to have one region - a LittleBigRegion

Senior producer of LBP announced at Leipzig that LittleBigPlanet would be region locked, after players were already under the impression that the game would be region free. You can relax now, because Sony SCE development team member "Sam_Protagonist" has set the record straight. LittBigPlanet will in fact have only one region - and that is a LittleBigRegion.

"This is in fact not the case, and all shared levels in the game will be available worldwide. The confusion arose out of regional differences in how moderation will work as there are different legal rules each region have to play by, and at one point this looked like it may require the game to be independent in each region - however this has been worked around and there will only be one region for the game.... a LittleBigRegion."

    LOL wow at some people saying the game was shit when news said about it being region coded.

    As I said it was probably a misinterpretation.

      Well it doesn't make much sense to call a game little big PLANET when it's user content is region locked does it?

          As much as any title, It would be kind of dumb for MGS4 with absolutely no Metal Gears for example. And Media Molecules own tagline for the game is "Play Create Share" which regional servers would greatly hinder.

          No the title should be about the storyline and offline aspect not so much as online multiplayer.
