Smash Bros Dojo Launches World Records

black doom | August 25, 2008 | News | Wii
The guys over at Smash Bros Dojo have taken their site a step further with the launch of a world wide scoreboard. There has been many target times and home-run scores sent in via the Nintendo WiFi connection and they have taken those and listed the best scores that they have recieved. Anyone that believes they have broken a record can send in their score so no one should complain the list is not accurate.e
Through Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, a vast number of Target Smash!! and Home-Run Contest submissions have poured in from players of all regions.

I distribute one submission per day, but it's not really obvious which submissions are setting records, is it?

To that end, I put together a list of the world records for each character for you to take a look at. The data is current as of the end of July, 2008.

"What?! How did someone pull THAT off?" ...I'm sure most of the records will surprise you into saying stuff like that. They're simply amazing...

On the other hand, if you've already broken these records...please post your record using Nintendo WFC!

Once I get a new batch of submissions, I'll update the list. So, keep sending them in!

Meh, we only get the character name, not the player nickname. The only thing that we need to see is the player nickname and they couldn't give us that. What the *bleep* can they give us?

If someone you know holds the record I am sure you can verify if they are telling the truth. They would have to have it recorded afterall.

If they showed the player's nickname, then everyone named "Fred" (for example) would be flaming forums saying that they got that record.

Does this take into account region differences?

How would region differences affect your playing? Do you live in Colorado, and get hypoxic or something?

You people are idots. By region, he means whether you live in Europe, Africa, Asia ect.

The answer he's looking for is no, they are world records after all.

Oh, I thought you Americans might have an even easier version of the home run contest.

this was my biggest problem with brawl. not only did they screw with the gameplay, but they utterly ruined the BtT and home run contest. the new BtT is just idiotic, and the homerun test was made WAAAAAY too *bleep*ing easy.

Well actually you're only half right, two things changed, Bat dropping now gives more horizontal knockback but they added the barrier to make it that bat dropping still existed it just required more skill.

Target Test, no argument there, each character needs their own test, makes them unique and more specific, most people only knew about Wall jumping thanks to Young Link's test (or at least his trophy).
