Turtle Rock Studios and Valve's next hit zombie game, Left 4 Dead had a release date of Nov 4th. Gabe Newell confirmed that date has slightly been pushed back a bit to Nov 20th, the anniversary of Half-Life.

To help perk up your spirits with this delay, Gabe also mentioned during GC 2008 that there will be a demo.

So far what I have heard about this game it looks like it's going to be amazing. A little delay is not going to stop the buzz when it hits the stands, in my opinion.

Agreed. It actually helps me since I wasn't going to be able to afford it right off the bat.

Makes sense, Gears of War 2 is released on the 7th November, which would no doubt overshadow it.

I still don't get the hype. Zombie shooting somehow = GOTY to some people? The fact that there's co-op doesn't much change the fact that it's still zombies.

...Because that's such a great reason...

Yes because it's Valve's goal to make some average Zombie shooter.

Valve isn't the developer behind this title.... Turtle Rock Studios, the guys who did some of the best AI bots in Counter Strike are the ones developing the title. It was their original idea. It's just that Valve bought the studio.

Why don't you say the same thing about Star Wars or Flight games, then?

Zombie movies have been around far longer than Star Wars, getting a chance to play the scenario of a Zombie infestation is absolutely awesome. How often do you see Zombie games, let alone Zombie games that are not only FPS but looks awesome? rarely.

I guess a lot of the younger generation just don't appreciate old school culture. It's all about Halo and WoW, now :S With the cult classics of Zombie flicks (NOT resident evil; Dawn of the Dead, Night of the Living Dead, etc) this game reminds me of that sort of scenario and all I have to say is..it's about damn time we got a game that reflects that.

...younger generation? I'm 19 and even I appreciate the Night (1968/1990) more than most zombie movies, though when Diary came out, it immediately made number 1 in my list, though you might be right.

Not a lot of people know the difference in zombie movies, even before Dawn of the Dead remake. There's the traditional Romero-esque limping and stumbling zombie (which everyone likes to ignore), the more famous Zack Snyder-esque running zombies (obviously ripped off from 28 Days Later).

That being said...DEAD RISING; nuff said.

You have got to be shitting me. I am going to go pound my fists into the cement ground outside as I scream in agony... Literally. I'm not kidding. I'm sick and tired of being extremely excited for one of the most mazing games to arrive... Then it becomes delayed. First Alan Wake, then it was GTAIV, 2 Days 2 Vegas, Saints Row 2, and now THIS!?

Delayed. oh well at least it wasn't pushed back that long.

I've been waiting for another decent Zombie Survival Horror/FPS outside of the RE series for far too long.
