In the past, all sorts of rumours have been afloat about Metal Gear Solid 4 appearing on the XBOX360 and today marks the day that Kojima himself has finally gotten sick of it all and spoken out.

"I've been doing a lot of interviews and stage shows, and half the questions are like 'Will MGS4 be coming out on 360 or other formats?', and in the near future I hope they'll ask me about Metal Gear, about us, about our future projects, and will stop caring about the hardware,".

Pressed on MGS4's exclusivity and the possibility of an Xbox 360 port, Kojima reiterated that the PS3 had been chosen because he believed that the series' success had been entwined with PlayStation's, and admitted that "because MGS4 was optimised for the PS3 it is probably not possible".

"But, you know, what kind of disturbs me sometimes, because a lot of people ask me about this PS3/360 question, is that it's not about the hardware - I want people to look at the game itself. Sometimes I even feel like it should be on a PC so that people don't ask me about hardware and platforms," he said.

Why are 360 owners so greedy? Kojima has already stated before that it would be PS3 only due to Blu-Ray's storage capacity. Hell, even the game itself mocks the 360, so, why would they then port that over? You got FFXIII leave MGS alone

Why do people still say the game mocks 360? I don't remember a single moment in the game that mocks the 360.If you're talking about the disc changing codec, you are wrong.

The only MGS game to take up more than one disc was only the original, right? so it can either be a jab at the PS1 or the 360. Kojima's never made a statement on the codec afaik, so, there isn't really a right or wrong as either could be correct.

It's not a stab at the 360 because it happens at the exact same place you had to change the disc on MGS1.

In MGS1 just before you enter the blast furnace, you have to change the disc.Well in MGS4 he talks about changing the disc in that EXACT place.

The timing doesn't change the fact that it's a stab at the lack of disc space on the 360. It's just more convenient for him to do it there.

Because about half the game is advertising Microsoft's competitors. (Sony and Apple)

Overstatement of the Year there. So there's an Apple iPod in there, so what? EVERYBODY uses one, and the game is set in the future, so it would be very common.

And of course Sony would be advertised in the game, because after all, the game IS on the PS3.

iPods, mac notebooks, a giant Mac desktop, there's way more than just an Ipod. What makes the post an "overreaction"? From what I see you guys are rather overreacting to my post, you took that way too literally.

Apple really isn't a direct competitor to anyone, outside of the Mac. And I don't see the problem with advertising such items in the game; it's based off of the real world, it'll have real world items.

Actually Apple and Microsoft compete in several areas. Apple has the Ipod MS has the Zune. Apple has OSX MS has Vista. I'm sure it won't be long before Apple makes a console and Microsoft makes a phone.

Good for him to just put it all to rest. I would feel the same if nobody ever asked about the game itself. It's like if I made a painting, but everyone just asked me how much it'll sell for, or where I would showcase it, instead of asking about what inspires me.

I would indeed like to know what Kojima has planned for the future of the brand. I wish the media would ask about THAT.

[size=1] I find a good majority of the 360 owners who cry about not having MGS4 are very much the same people who brag about having the Halo series to PS owners. Lol.

im more interested in his upcoming project that he keeps hinting at. it seems like he is waiting for people to ask him about it, so he must have something up his sleeve.

Its not hard to believe, they're just jealous the PS3 has the best game out there in 08, and 360 fanboys can't get over that fact.

Ok then you keep on believing that Kojima was bashing the 360 and I'll keep on believing that it has NOTHING to do with bashing the 360.
