An in depth look at what Sony Online Entertainment is doing in regard to their free to play MMORPG that is aimed at the 8-14 demographic but is proving to be a hit with all ages.

The parental control system not only locks down the account so that it cannot chat with others but it can also limit the amount of time per session and per day. A pretty cool feature considering the main target demographic is children that could lose themselves in the game and are too young to determine limits for themselves. As an example players under the age of 13 are not able to chat with any other players.

Well considering that no one under the age of 13 can chat with another user...at least it's a step in the right direction even though it is somewhat limiting. But it's on the parents to watch what their children are doing.
