The announcement of Team ICO's mysterious PS3 project is probably one of the most sought after announcements of this generation, and it could be coming sooner that you think.

Sony worldwide studio head Shuhei Yoshida has given the clearest indication yet that the firm is ramping up to the announcement of Fumito Ueda’s next game, confirming to VG247 that the PS3 project will be shown “soon.”

“I cannot tell,” said the exec was asked specifically if the new Team ICO game will be shown at Tokyo Game Show this year.

“But I can say that they’ve been working very hard since the release of Shadow of the Colossus.

“Soon you’ll see.”

Go on. TGS. You know you want to.

The chances it'll be at TGS are very slim, but regardless, the fact that they're working on it is absolutely awesome!

One of the reasons I got my PS3: Team ICO make sick-ass games!

Actually it makes more sense at TGS. They said "soon", TGS is "Soon" and they are a japanese based company, and TGS is held in japan. Pieces fit.
