Will Wright impressed by Spore porn

Twisted | August 28, 2008 | News | PC Playstation 2
After Spore Creature Creature was released, an army of cock monsters (as in spore monsters lol) were released onto the internet. Will Wright says he isn't offended by them, but impressed by them. Has me wondering.
Ahead of Spore's September 7 launch for PC and Mac, genius creator Will Wright has been talking about the create feature that's so far spawned more porn than yesterday's Bristol pirate.

But Wright says he's not offended by the army of cock monsters that invaded the internet following the release of the Spore Creature Creator. Quite the opposite in fact.

"When you give players creative control, you have to expect they're going to do the unexpected," he told the AP.

"Some of it's really good for what they were shooting for. It's amazingly explicit, especially when those creations are animated. We just have to make sure those people aren't messing up the experience for others."

If you missed it, we cobbled together the best cock monsters that the web had to offer. There's probably loads more since we did it so feel free to update us in the comments section below.

I'm surprised they let him say that.

This is news? Please...he doesn't say he's impressed. He says expect the unexpected. The title is totally inaccurate.

Hmm ... Spore porn ... it has a nice ring to it ... Sporn.

With the degree of variety of cock monsters out there, you can't help but be impressed.

that shows me Will understands the nature of the internet. Let people create sporn all they want, but give people a chance to not see it if they don't want. Trying to block people from doing things like that just makes them work harder to work around ways that prevent it.

Turmoil, they've been calling it 'sporn' for a while, or was that what you were getting at?

In any case, I wasn't surprised, neither was the rest of the internetz....So it wasn't unexpected >_>

      "Sporn" already been coined ?

Damn, and I thought I was being cool and witty for thinking of it on my own.

It sounds like he was kind of expecting this kind of crap to happen. Lol, maybe it was the purpose of the game. "Sporn" is kinda catchy.

It's fine with me too. I'll have less remorse when I eradicate their planets.

Honestly I'm not sure Sporn falls under the category of unexpected. I expected it. And I know most other players expected it. We were talking about having a method to block unwanted content long before the creature creator was even released.

We all knew it was only a matter of time before someone figured out a way to create something crude. Although the level of lewdness possible is quite impressive.

Well at least people can't say they're not creative.

Why is it that everyone thinks it's so funny to make monsters that have dicks? It shows how immature some people are.

I agree. The existence of Sporn is depressingly, soul-crushingly predictable, as is the existence of the giggling, virginal thirteen-year-olds who create it.

Uh, no need to bring 13 year olds into this.
      I'm barely older than them...
