America getting Chrono Trigger DS before Japan

Twisted | August 30, 2008 | News | DS Company
Its something that has never been done before, America is getting a game before Japan! And that game is Chrono Trigger DS. There is a two day difference, America gets it on the 25th of 2008 while Japan gets it on the 27th. Unfortunately, the release date for Europe is in 2009.
It is time to revel in a most minuscule victory for American Chrono Trigger fans, as news arrives that The States will be getting Chrono Trigger DS a whole TWO DAYS before Japan! Never mind the fact that Japanese pre-orders also come with a two-track orchestral theme music disc ... TWO DAYS! America's release date is October 25 while Japan has to wait until October 27.

Just think, you could have leveled up over ten times before those Japanese gamers get their hands on the game. With a whole two days of lead time, you could become the CHRONO TRIGGER WORLD MASTER! Just thinkabout THAT while Japan is scrabbling for its worthless soundtrack CD which was supervised by game composer Yasunori Mitsuda. Utterly pathetic.

In other news, the European release date for Chrono Trigger DS is still some time in 2009. So, France is the clear winner in this little contest!

I know I was so excited when I wrote this article. Japan gets everything first, it's time for them to learn their place.

IGN and a few other outlets have it listed as November 25th. What to believe?

IGN don't sell the game, though. They get their information around the same time we do.

I never said IGN sold games... The point I'm making is that two different release dates were listed at about the same time and they were exactly a month apart, which leads me to believe that one of these sites got the month wrong.

Lol, pretty cool that we get something first. It looks like a cool game, but what's with the GBA graphics? The DS can handle better than that.

It's a direct SNES port, hence the graphics.

Shame it wasn't a more popular game, but nice to see a different country get a game first for a change.

It's about time we get something before them.
Now let's see it happen more often. Although then we'd get glitches and stuff... So either way is good for me.
