No Gears of War 2 for PC

The upcoming Gears of War game will be console only. The PC version had good reception but Gears of War was made for a console version so Epic decided no to go with it. November 7th is still release date for Gears 2, only for XBOX360.

[Epic's Design Director, Cliff Bleszinski]: You can unlock these characters in Gears 2 if you earn the Achievements in Gears 1 through Xbox 360 or PC, provided you are using the same Gamertag.

Does this mean you are planning a Windows version of "Gears of War 2"?

Cliff: Gears of War is a great franchise first and foremost for Xbox 360, and therefore we're focusing on that platform for Gears of War 2. We've decided we're not going to do a PC version this time around.

    No. Bungie nor Microsoft never stated that it wouldn't come to the PC.

    This is CliffyB, lead designer of Gears of War, saying that they're "not going to do a PC version this time around."

    Probably realized that pirating on PC is rampant and PC gamers are less likely to buy into the "OMG NEW DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT" BS.

        I wouldn't say primarily, back in the day sure. But now it's hard to deny they're focusing more and more on the game console.

          That's why the majority of their games, aside from Gears, are developed for PC's first and then released on consoles?

      They said they didn't have any plans for it until after the 360 release, this is flatout saying it won't happen.
