EA decided to be generous, and give away the original Red Alert for free. All you have it just click the download link, and it goes straight onto your computer, no troubles or anything. You can also get Red Alert 2 if you pre-order Red Alert 3 from certain stores.

EA is feeling generous. As a special treat for C&C fans ahead of the release of Red Alert 3, it is giving away the first Red Alert game for free.
There's no catch, either. No bloody registry or anything - just go here and hit download link to start sapping the game down your internets. Then burn the ISO to a CD and you're good to go. It feels like piracy, but isn't.
You can get Red Alert 2 for free too, but for that you'll need to pre-order Red Alert 3 at participating stores. Still, not a bad deal.
Thanks EA! The games industry should do this more often.

Hell, Gamespot still submits things under RA3 for PS3.
I disliked Generals (not really dislike but more of a not like it as much as I did Red Alert 2). Generals was too serious. RA was a fun game since it had plenty of city maps. Generals focused too much on deserted wastelands.
Generals' campaign mode was also a bit boring. The acting was horrendous. Red Alert's was decent.
Red Alert 3 has Tim Curry! So that ends all arguments about how RA3 will ruin the series!
