Publisher Marvelous Entertainment announced today that their upcoming Wii ARPG, Rune Factory Frontier, will be releasing in Japan on November 27, 2008. For those in Japan who preordered, you will get a soundtrack/drama CD, along with a packet of turnip seeds. You know, to grow your own turnips.

Rune Factory Frontier continues the game's action RPG take on the classic Harvest Moon gameplay. Players will control the hero Laguna as he cultivates his fields, battle monsters, and make an barren environment prosper, in search of a missing girl and solving the mystery of the Whale Island. The game is heavily open-ended, allowing players to control how they play the game. The more Laguna cultivates the lands, the more people will appear at his abode and become more like a town.

Rune Factory Frontier is developed by the Never-Land Company. It will retail for 7140 yen. It is expected to release in the US sometime in Q1 2009. The official site can be found here
