I don't even know where to begin with this one. A group of hackers and modders have created a 4-foot long SNES controller- and here is the kicker- IT ACTUALLY WORKS.

Matt LaBoone, the team lead, says that videos of gameplay will be coming soon.

The angular, simply-shaped NES controller lent itself well to humongonization, but the rounded sides and shoulder buttons made the SNES a formidable challenge to accurately build at such a large scale. The SCAD guys sure as hell pulled it off though, getting everything from the curvature of the L and R buttons to the fonts used on the control labels almost perfectly right. The body of the controller is cut from wood, and the buttons are connected directly to the guts of a standard SNES controller, preserving the now hilariously small-looking cable and connector. Matt LaBoone, the primary builder of the project, says that videos (hopefully including some gameplay action) are forthcoming. For now check out the full log of the building process at the SCAD Inc. site.

Well, the actual chord would be no different than the regular controller chord (as it would be the same one used).

Though for cosmetic purposes- keeping the proportions right would lead me to believe that the chord would be probably around half a foot in diameter, and God knows how long.

Pretty cool, though perhaps a little too big. I saw another project on youtube a while back where they did the same thing but on a small scale.

So I'll stick with my smaller one. xD But this is certainly cool.

I saw a NES one on youtube that is the same size but they made it into a coffee table so you didn't have to hold it.
