Shining Force Feather Announced for DS

Akira_EX | September 03, 2008 | News | DS
In this week's issue of Weekly Famitsu magazine, it has been announced that Sega will be publishing a new game in the Shining Force series: Shining Force Feather for the Nintendo DS. The developer for the game is Flight Plan.

The game will be a strategy RPG with a top-down isometric view, and will be completely in 2D. Field movement will be turn-based, and not locked into a grid. Battles will take place in side-view, and will feature more action-oriented elements, reminiscent of tri-Ace's Valkyrie Profile.

Shining Force Feather will release in Japan in Spring 2009.

Shining Force is one of my all-time favourite series'..so I'm kinda crapping myself with this. I just hope its more like the first two games, and less like the newer iterations (Soul, Neo, etc).

This is the only time I'll ask for a remake. Please remake the first two games, Sega.

    Shining Force!

I've always heard so much praise for this series. I did try Shining Soul on the GBA, it was odd.
