FFXIII and Versus come first

According to a interview translated by FinalFantasy-XIII.net with Square Enix designer Tetsuya Nomura, Final Fantasy XIII Agito, which is coming out for the PSP and mobile phones, won't hit shelves in Japan until FFXIII and Versus are finished.

Considering Versus is due out after FFXIII, which is scheduled for a 2009 release, it’s fairly reasonable to deduct - even though we hate to say it - that Agito might not be seen on shelves until 2010 at the earliest. Insert sad emotion here.

I'm just concerned how good Agito will be for PSP, considering it's also for mobile phones. Is it the same game or is it being made with both platforms in mind? I don't even feel right calling a phone a platform.

  i read that the game is running on psp hardware so it should turn out good

    I can't help but think that both Parasite Eve 3 and Agito have just been ported from the mobile console with the most minor upgrades. I doubt Squeenix are starting the projects from scratch - they've been working on both for over a year now.
    
    And judging by the in-game screenshots, I'd say that's the case. The FMVs might be impressive, but the in-game shots look phone-worthy.

      well the game is a long way of the game may look alot better when its out or they could be sacrificing graphics for story length and gameplay

      I'm pretty sure all of the in-game images for Agito are new, since it's running on the Crisis Core engine.
