Capcom isn't worried about the RE5 competition

After revealing their Q1 results, Capcom held a Q&A session. While Capcom got further into the session, they said there not worried about any game giving RE5 a run for its money simply because it will be better.

“The Resident Evil series has strong brand power and a special game concept, which builds a new view of the world that you can’t find in any other games,” said a rep.

“Capcom is not all that concerned about competition with distribution titles, since the quality of our Resident Evil 5 is also being enhanced. Rather, we are at the stage of devising strategies to expand its sales further.”

      Resident Evil 5 and Silent Hill: Homecoming are definetly not in the same genre (no matter how much Capcom loves to say "New Survival Horror").

    I think there's been word going around lately about Left 4 Dead kind of stealing RE5's spotlight, since so much new information about the game has emerged lately, while RE5's been in development for a good while and a lot of people have almost forgotten about it for the time being.

    To be honest Capcom need to watch out as if they aren't careful they are in for a big fall. Dead Space and Silent Hill are shaping up to be much better horror's than this game which is a joke as a horror. Resident Evil 5 will not be a good horror game and it probably won't be a good action game, it will rest on its past to sell copies.

    RE% will kick Deadspace and Sh collective asses. DOn't know what planet you're from. and Left 4 dead looks to be pretty damn average with all its glitches.

          No, actually he isn't trolling. Do you know the definition of that term? You make an outrageous statement about how RE5 is going to kick the collective asses of Silent Hill and Deadspace, when RE5 is nothing more then RE4. It has the same controls and nothing even suggests its different to RE4.
