Earlier today, Nintendo unveiled the European box art for the adventure game titled Professor Layton and the Curious Village, a game that is exclusive to the Nintendo DS.

In the game, Professor Layton and Luke hear about the artifact called the Golden Apple, but can only be found if every single puzzle in the creepy village has been solved. Will you be able to figure out all of the puzzles and discover the legendary Golden Apple?

Professor Layton and the Curious Village is being developed by Level 5 and will hit European shores on November 7th. The game has already been released in North America and Japan.

Layton has been very well received in other territories; 700,000 copies were sold in Japan alone last year, and upon its American release it conquered the competition and remained the best-selling DS title for three weeks.

Nintendo have also confirmed that the game will see weekly puzzles released as downloadable content. We recall them promising weekly puzzle packs for Picross DS back in May 2007, too - let's hope we don't have to wait sixteen months for Nintendo to wake up this time...

Man, wonder what the hell is taking 'em so long to release to Europe!! It's a great game, and am patiently waiting for #2.
