The beta testers who are testing the Wrath of the Lich King that live in North America are now able to select a level 80 pre-made character, which comes with some PVP equipment.

It looks like Blizzard is making sure there isn't any bugs in the PVP system for the high levels. Sounds pretty cool, I would love to start magically playing with a level 80 elf or something.

Lake Wintergrasp -- World of Warcraft's first dedicated PVP zone -- has been singled out as the subject of criticism from scads of testers, so there's a good chance this is the first step toward fine-tuning that experience.
