Nintendo has announced a Obscure game for the Nintendo Wii. Gamers describe it as a Resident Evil in a high school setting.

Obscure II will feature a total of six playable characters. As in the original, players can choose one computer-controller sidekick. Friends can join in at any time to assume the role of the second character. Many different weapons will be available, according to Playlogic, but the element of light "might be the players' biggest ally."

"We are happy to work together with Playlogic on Obscure II; they meet all of our expectations and I'm sure that their expertise will be very positive for the game," said CEO of Hydravision Denis Pontentier. "The two-person cooperative gameplay of Obscure II has been fully optimized. I think players will love this game."

Playlogic did not state how Wii's functionality will be incorporated in Obscure II.
