An editorial examining the problems that seem to plague most role-playing games in some form or another. Crappy inventory systems, we're looking at you!

Oh, and another thing about beginnings: don't fill the first zone of a game with characters who answer questions that the main character would clearly know the answers to already. Way too many RPG's allow the player to walk around asking the main character's friends and family, "Who are you? Where am I?"

Ummmm, mostly mentioning the cliches everyone knows, at least so far as the beginning goes, and the battle types....

But yeah, good points to be sure.

I hope Fallout 3 follows Oblivion's example, since Fallout 3 is supposed to be a good sized world (not sure how big)....

I agree with the part that was not in the source.

DO NOT DO THAT. If I ever have to play a game like that, I might as well get rid of it.

No, I don't want to deliver your *bleep*ing letter to Lady Rottencrotch. If you want to give some fresh bread to Griswold the burly innkeeper, go do it yourself or find a courier who isn't wearing platemail and carrying a flaming sword.
    LOL.
