Some people have been a little skeptical towards Resistance 2. The graphics displayed in the first screenshots and trailer look a lot better than most gameplay seen so far. But Insomniac in their latest podcast (The Full Moon Show) have said that in the last week alone the textures have significantly improved. And that on complaints from people in the Beta they are going to put more polish on the multiplayer levels. As Insomniac always do graphics last expect a large leap in what we've seen so far and what will be present in the final product.

At 36 minutes in they mention the singleplayer levels, and how the textures have significantly improved since the previous week. They even mention that in a level known as Iceland some rooms actually give you the feeling of being cold.

For more graphical goodies at 54 minutes in they confirm that they have received complaints about the graphics in certain multiplayer levels, and that they will be sure to polish them before release.

Great to hear. I don't usually care about graphics but if they're good then thats a definite plus. I found Rfom* too plain, everything was almost TOO gritty, it kinda felt like everything was made up of only 8 colors at times... Resistance 2 fixes this problem, somehow...
