Nintendo announces…Wi-fi network adapter?

Dark Arcanine | September 08, 2008 | News | Wii Gaming Tech/Hardware
Well, Nintendo are still making constant add-ons, features etc for the Nintendo Wii.

It does have its pros, being cheaper and easier. On the other hand, however, plugging it in through a router provides a much faster speed.

The latest is a Wi-Fi adapter.

Is it really such a needed luxury?
Ummm, okay…did we really need this? It will be hitting Japan on September 18th for 5,800 yen. Not quite sure why Nintendo felt the need to make one of these!

Why not just buy a regular router that works for computers as well?

Other companies have been making stuff like this for years now, for all the gaming consoles. A device like this is smaller and cheaper than a full blown router, making it excellent for those who are just getting Wifi for gaming, not necessarily a home network.

A new wifi device for the Wii? I have one for the DS and Wii, and I am fine with that one. I do not want to mess with something like that, nor do I want to spend extra money on it.
