Infogrames, a company that owns half of Atari, have announced a new studio down in London for the same company. It's designed to focus on the "the development of mass-market games for online-enabled devices including PCs and consoles."

Paulina Bozek, SingStar executive, will be in charge of the whole operation. As you can image, she is pretty excited, saying that "There is a huge opportunity as gaming platforms become more ubiquitous, more connected and attract more mainstream audiences."

Infogrames president Phil Harrison said, "This is a significant step in expanding Atari's online game development capability. Paulina is one of the industry's most respected creative leaders with an outstanding track-record of commercial and creative success and I'm delighted that she will bring her unique vision, consumer insight and proven ability for creating amazing entertainment experiences to Atari."
