HMV, a music store, could have it's video game sales beat out it's music sales, says Simon Fox, the chief executive of entertainment retailer. I personally find it a little sad how all of the music stores are hurting badly, because people are downloading music. I didn't think that it would come to this that music only accounts for 25% of HMV sales, and currently, video games account for 19% of sales. Plus there are a lot of video games releasing over and before the holidays.

The chief executive of entertainment retailer HMV has said that games could overtake music as the company’s biggest earner within the next year.

Simon Fox told The Sun that he expects music to account for just a quarter of HMV’s sales in the near future, while videogames, which currently account for 19 percent of total sales, are forecast to grow rapidly.

“Within the next 12 to 18 months, it’s possible games will be bigger than music for us,” Fox said.

You pretty much have to buy games these days yes hacking the console is still possible but online makes that harder as it is a large component that basically gets nuked the second you hack the thing. Games is one thing that will never truly succumb to piracy especially as filesizes get larger i mean it is almost a fools game trying to download Metal Gear Solid 4.

Cause music is a way to be creative as to where a game you play and beat, done.
Music never gets old(some) and its a type of emotion.
