Phantasy Star Zero Announced for DS

Akira_EX | September 09, 2008 | News | DS
Partial scans have hit the internet from the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu, and in it was the revelation of a new DS game coming from Sega: Phantasy Star Zero for the Nintendo DS.

Details right now are scarce, but the game will be a new entry in the Phantasy Star Online series rather than the Phantasy Star Universe series, of which the most recent game, Phantasy Star Portable, is a part of. The game will support multiplayer through the Nintendo WiFi Connection, with the game's chat supporting stylus-drawn sketches. The character designer will be Toshiyuki Kubooka (Lunar, Idolm@ster), while writers Tooru Shiwasu and Teru Arai will do scenario work.

If it plays and acts exactly like PSO did (barring Episode 3), I just might have to reprise my role here as "daily visitor".

I'm actively seeking an excuse to waste another couple hundred hours in the service of PSO.
